Reviewing a product, checking the seller and quoting the landed cost costs nothing. We would rather tell you early that an order is a bad idea than take a fee for discovering it late.

What to send, and why each part matters

• The product. A 1688 or Taobao link is best. A photograph or a sketch with dimensions also works — we can find comparable production from either.
• The quantity, broken down. Not just "500" but 500 across how many colours and sizes. Minimums are usually stated per variant, so a breakdown changes the answer more than the total does.
• The destination country. This decides which certificates you need and which routes will carry the goods. The same candle is a different order going to the US than to the EU.
• Whether it is branded. If yes, send the artwork in vector form with fonts outlined, plus your colour references. A logo pulled off a website reproduces exactly as badly as it was supplied.
• Your deadline. Sampling and tooling are the long poles. Knowing the date up front decides whether a branding method is even available to you.

What happens after you send it

1. Same working day, usually: we read the listing

   You get the specification translated properly — materials with numbers attached, not adjectives — and a plain statement of which claims the seller has documented and which they have only asserted.

2. One to three days: rules and supplier

   Which certificates your market requires for this specific item, whether they exist, and whether the seller is the factory or a trading company reselling someone else's production.

3. Then: one itemised quote

   Goods, branding setup, tooling, sampling, our service fee, inspection, consolidation and freight, each on its own line, on a route that will actually accept the goods. Nothing is bought until you approve it.

What we cannot quote from

A screenshot with the seller's watermark cropped out, a product name with no image, or "something like this but cheaper" with no reference. Not because we are being difficult — because any number we gave you would be invented, and an invented quote is worse than no quote.

We also will not quote goods carrying a third-party brand or a licensed character without permission from the rights holder, and we will say so on the first reply rather than after you have paid for a sample.
